Exercise and Improved Depression, Anxiety and ADHD symptoms

May 16, 2023
Study on high intensity exercise greatly improves overall mental health in adults

Many people with ADHD use exercise as a means to manage their symptoms.  There are great benefits to routine exercise and improvements in mood, anxiety, sleep, and overall stress levels.

The British Journal of Sports Medicine recently published the results of meta-analysis on benefits of high intensity exercise on improving mild-moderate symptoms of depression and anxiety and ADHD.

For anxiety, mind-body physical modalitites like yoga and meditation have the greatest impact.

If struggling with mild to moderate depression, anxiety, sleep disorders (insomnia) and/or ADHD, call  Andrea Skrocki, Psychiatric NP to see if she can help with a treatment plan to get you back to living your best life.
